Karen Brown Arnold
Photography by Karen Arnold
Karen is a self-taught digital photographer and began taking pictures seriously about seven years ago. It has been said that she is gifted with the most important element of taking beautiful photographs a good eye. That, along with her uncanny ability to make the mundane and ordinary look spectacular with splashes of color, are what set her work apart from many photographers.
The majority of Karens work has been shot in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Her eye for interesting subjects, composition, and color is an artistic gift. Her images preserve the integrity of our beloved Valley its beauty, form, and function. She particularly enjoys shooting photographs of wildlife and landscapes, and is able to capture the perfect moment, the perfect angle, the perfect lighting. Her photographs stun you with their meaning, clarity and emotion. They express perfectly the feelings one has when witnessing the object, but cannot put into words.
Karen is a member of the Arts Council of the Valley and her work can be seen at some of Harrisonburgs most desirable venues.
